Our Pokhara Valley Tour features Nepal’s most popular touristic destination and one of the most scenic valleys in Nepal. On this thrilling tour, we make a journey to the highlights and attractions of this lush valley with snowy Himalaya soaring to the north. Pokhara is 200 km (125 mi) west of Kathmandu and nearby is a large lake. The magnificent surroundings of mountains and lake make Pokhara a must-visit for every tourist in Nepal.
The Pokhara valley sightseeing tour begins with a pickup from your hotel and a charming drive to the ridge top Peace Pagoda (also known as Shanti Stupa). This Buddhist shrine stands out from all over the valley and was built with Japanese support. If views are clear, the scenery of a lake sparkling below the Himalayan range will be an unforgettable highlight of the tour. The most prominent peak of all overlooking Pokhara is called Fishtail Peak or Machhapuchhre in Nepali. Only a single peak of twin peaks can be seen from Pokhara and the trademark ‘fishtail’ isn’t seen from inside the Valley.
Pokhara is well-known for adventure activities and paragliding and ultra-lite flights are common and the wings splash the air with color. Pokhara is also the beginning point for some of the most popular treks in Nepal including the Annapurna Circuit and the Annapurna Sanctuary.
The climate is milder than Kathmandu in Pokhara which is lower in elevation and also one of the wettest places in Nepal. Tour highlights include a visit to the thrilling Seti Gandaki gorge that passes right through the middle of the Pokhara, Devi's Falls waterfall , Mahendra Cave as well as the Mountaineering Museum and Tibetan refugee camps with souvenir handicrafts on sale. We also visit Pokhara’s most famous temple, Vindhyabasini on a hill top overlooking the city. It is sacred to Hindus and the preferred place for marriage ceremonies.
