We then make a scenic drive along the highway to Pokhara, stopping midway for an overnight at the hill station of Bandipur. This charming town has traditional architecture and a spectacular panorama of the Himalaya. We enjoy a leisurely stroll around the village and a brilliant sunset as the stars then come out. The next morning after witnessing the sunrise we continue at a leisurely pace with a picturesque drive to Pokhara.

Pokhara is a restful city west of Kathmandu and nearby is a large, scenic lake. The majestic surroundings of mountains and the lake make Pokhara a must-visit for every tourist in Nepal. Our Pokhara Valley Tour features one of the most scenic valleys in Nepal.

We soak up the atmosphere of this lovely town before we continue onward on a pilgrimage to the revered birthplace of Buddha. Buddha was born in the southern plains of Lumbini and into a royal family with the name of Siddhartha Gautam. His mother Queen Maya, died shortly after his birth.
